Where is the Mainstream?
Main street in Moorseville is also seeing its own improvement. The skate park next to MPD is nearing completion. An overview from the town would picture everything from historic to newly built. A well rounded place to live. At least to your eyes.
Recently I have discovered three major groups of people. Those who live here and care about the towns doings. Those who live here and do not realize what is happening.
And then there is category of absolutely no knowledge of corrupt people even existing in local government.
Unfortunately the last group is the future that should be taking hold right now. Instead they don't even realize what is slipping away. What could be ours is sifted through by the corrupt and what is left is given to the public. If the public even truly knows what that is.
We all have a voice. To those living in my generation: While your getting adjusted to the reality of that fairy tale life that never happened. Get ready for a bad case of government flu. Other people live highly off your hard work. Are you ready to take what is yours back?

Concerned Citizens Protest On Main Street
With this posting i am starting C-GOAT. Corrupt government officials are terrorist! I am not going to put any names under this category yet. In the future I will develop a list of officials who I feel fit into this category. I may have to change the title in order to not be damaging.
On the other hand I would like to thank the Mooresville Police Department for not interfering with the march. I would also like to thank them for their silent support and helping block traffic as the march crossed roadways on the way to the Town Hall.
Picketers walked back and forth in front of the Town Hall for an hour prior to tonights meeting. I do not think that any of the commissioners expected such a turnout. No seats were left open and dozens surrounded the walls. Many still yielding signs from the protest that took place just minutes earlier. Everyone in the march wore a name tag of anonymous. Adding a hint of sarcasm to the ordeal. I would like to thank everyone that showed up to the march including Miles Atkins.
As the pubic comments proceeded at the beginning of the meeting there were many cheers from the crowd. After each person spoke their feelings the Mayor tried to contain the uproar with a wooden gavel. After Thunberg failed with a wooden hammer he resorted to verbal warnings. To his surprise that only brought about heckling from the crowd.
After the public comments the board got down to business. The second biggest matter was the "Gross Receipts Proposal." Which was heavily viewed by small business owners. To their relief the Chamber of Commerce asked that it be rejected. All in all I think tonight was a night for the people. We have united precisely in a time of need. We need to continue to do so without fear of retribution. Men and women fight for our freedom under order. We need to keep that freedom by right, will and to better our future generations.

Gatton Report Viewers Decide To Assemble
According to the Application Permit to picket in Mooresville there cannot be more than ten persons per block. All participants must remain moving and stay fifteen feet apart.
NC General Statute:
.…"
SECTION 6. Article 3 of Chapter 20 of the General Statutes is amended by
adding a new section to read:
"§ 20-174.2. Local ordinances; pedestrians gathering, picketing, or protesting on
roads or highways.
(a) A municipality or a county may adopt an ordinance regulating the time, place,
and manner of gatherings, picket lines, or protests by pedestrians that occur on State
roadways and State highways.
(b) Nothing in this section shall permit a municipality or a county to impose
restrictions or prohibitions on the activities of any of the following persons who are
engaged in construction or maintenance, or in making traffic or engineering surveys:
(1) Licensees, employees, or contractors of the Department of
Transportation.
(2) Licensees, employees, or contractors of a municipality."
North Carolina will allow local regulations to be set on picket lines that occur on state roads.
According to the First Amendment no government official may place regulations on peaceful assemblies. Unless the actions contained within the protest: (a) Disturb the peace. (b) Dangerous or offensive actions occur.
"First Amendment freedoms ring hollow if government officials can repress expression that they fear will create a disturbance or offend. Unless there is real danger of imminent harm, assembly rights must be respected."(David L. Hudson Jr.)
